Website design for South African businesses: a site that does its job
For most businesses the site has one job: someone who has never heard of you should understand what you do and know how to get hold of you, in under a minute, on a phone. That is what we design and build.
This site is ours. Judge the work by the page you are reading.
Designed at phone width, then opened out for a desktop.
Local hours, and someone who answers when you need a change.
Fast, clear, and built for a phone first
Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, on mobile data, with limited patience. Everything else follows from that.
Loads quickly
Built light and properly compressed, so it opens on mobile data rather than testing how long a visitor will wait.
Works on a phone
Designed at phone width first, then opened out for a desktop. Not a desktop layout squeezed down until it fits.
Enquiries reach you
A contact form that lands in your inbox, a phone number that dials, and a WhatsApp button, because that is how South Africans get in touch.
Findable
Page titles, descriptions and structure set up properly, so a search engine shows the right thing when somebody looks your business up.
Three stages, and you see it before it goes live
Nothing is built before you have signed off what it says, and nothing goes live before you have clicked through it.
What it needs to say
We work out who the site is for and what you want them to do, then agree the pages and what goes on each one before any design starts.
Design and build
You see the design before it is built, and a working site on a private link before anyone else does. Changes happen there, not after launch.
Launch and after
We put it live, connect your domain and email, and stay available for the updates every business needs: new services, new prices, new photographs.
The things a business site needs
Four things decide whether a site earns its keep.
Contact and enquiry forms
Forms that reach the right inbox, with the fields you need to quote without a second phone call.
Bookings and enquiries
If clients book your time, the site can take the booking instead of starting a conversation about when you are free.
Online shop
If you sell products, a shop with online payments, delivery options and stock you can manage yourself.
Changes you can make
Prices, photographs and text you can edit yourself, with us on hand for the bigger changes.
Questions about website design, answered plainly
The things people ask before asking for a quote. If yours is not here, ask us on WhatsApp.
How much does a business website cost in South Africa?
As a guide, the budget ranges on our contact form run from R3,900 to R7,000 for a one-page site, R7,000 to R15,000 for a multi-page business website, and R15,000 to R45,000 for an online store. Send us your current site, or describe what you do, and we will come back with what the site needs and what it costs.
How long does a website take to build?
It runs in three stages: we agree the pages and what each one says, you see the design and then a working site on a private link, and we put it live and connect your domain and email. Nothing is built before the words are signed off, and nothing goes live before you have clicked through it.
Will my website show up on Google?
Page titles, descriptions and structure are set up properly, so a search engine shows the right thing when somebody looks your business up. Ranking for competitive search terms takes ongoing content work on top of that, and we will tell you plainly what is realistic.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. Prices, photographs and text you can edit yourself, with us on hand for the bigger changes.
Do you connect my domain and email?
Yes. We put the site live, connect your domain and email, and stay available for the updates every business needs: new services, new prices, new photographs.
Can the site take bookings or sell products?
Yes. If clients book your time, the site can take the booking. If you sell products, it can run an online shop with payments, delivery options and stock you manage yourself.
